What is Asbestosis?

Asbestosis is a form of lung or pulmonary fibrosis caused by inhaling large quantities of asbestos dust and fibre over a period of time. The asbestos fibres which are inhaled irritate the lung and cause the formation of scar tissue which damages the delicate structure of the lung. This may prevent the absorption of oxygen by the lung leading to breathlessness. Symptoms often arise 20 to 30 years or more following initial asbestos exposure.

We at James Murray have a vast amount of experience and specialist tracing procedures to identify the original employers and their liability insurer for the time you were exposed to asbestos. Regardless of whether that company has dissolved, merged or changed its name, we will seek the defendants and/or their insurers who may be responsible to pay the compensation if the claim succeeds.

How Will Your Case Be Funded?

We would pursue your claim on a ‘No Win No Fee’ basis and James Murray Solicitors will not seek to recover a success fee from your compensation.

At James Murray Solicitors, our role is not just that of a legal Advisor but also as a support to you and your family and for that reason, we offer a 24-hour telephone service, which allows you the opportunity to speak to a Solicitor at any time, day or night.
