Jack Gillard LLB (Hons), LLM – Trainee Solicitor & Accredited Police Station Representative

After graduating from Liverpool John Moores University with an undergraduate degree in law, Jack went on to study his Master of Laws combined with the LPC at the same University. Academically, Jack has always been enthusiastic about criminal law and has written two dissertations centred around this area. During his undergraduate studies he wrote a dissertation on the importance of Legal Aid within the Criminal Justice System in England and Wales, and during his postgraduate degree he wrote a dissertation centred around knife crime legislation. He has undertaken two criminal law modules during his LPC, achieving a Merit in the core criminal module, and a Distinction in the advanced criminal module.

Jack joined James Murray Solicitors in 2022 as a Criminal Law Paralegal, after spending a year working as a Paralegal in another law firm specialising in road traffic accidents. In August 2023 Jack became a Trainee Solicitor and is due to qualify in April 2025. Jack has experience in dealing with a wide variety of Magistrates and Crown Court matters and specialises in all types of criminal offences. Jack is also an accredited police station representative and as a result spends a lot of time each week at police stations assisting clients during interview. Jack has gained a lot of valuable experience within his role, dealing with a plethora of offences, ranging from simple driving matters, all the way up to serious sexual offences and murder.
